EVENTS

  • Pastor Gale Watkins has retired

 We had a Congregational meeting after worship on 5-10-26. The purpose of this special meeting was to act on the request of Gale Watkins to dissolve the pastoral relationship with Westminster (effective on May 31, 2026). This was a necessary step for us to take in the transition to new pastoral leadership.

COFFEE HOUR

This is a time to share good food and fellowship,  getting to know each other better.

 WORSHIP SERVICE  We are meeting in the sanctuary on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM.

Looking forward to welcoming our new pastor

 PASTOR DAN ALBERTSON – BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Rev. Daniel Albertson was ordained as a Presbyterian pastor in December 1997. He has served as Senior pastor of a congregation of more than 2,000 members, where his leadership helped grow membership by over 500 people and increased giving by more than 75% in just three years.

In recent years, Pastor Dan has focused much of his ministry on outreach to people experiencing homelessness in Chandler and the greater Phoenix area through the I-HELP Program at the Chandler Christian Community Center. Within one month of participation, more than 70% of clients secured meaningful employment, and 25% obtained safe, affordable housing.

Pastor Dan has also been deeply involved in community and global service through Rotary International. He is the Past President of the San Tan Crown Rotary Club, Past Co-Chair of Micro-Credit for District 5510, and former Bank President of Rotary International Micro-Credit Banking in Mexico, supporting low-income entrepreneurs across Latin America.

He completed a two-year term as Designated Pastor at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Phoenix in 2019, where membership grew by over 30% and giving increased by 23%. He has since served as interim pastor at several congregations, including Mount Cross Lutheran Church in Payson, Mount of Olives Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church in Phoenix, and currently serves Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church in Yuma, Arizona. Pastor Dan is also the Moderator of the First Presbyterian Church Yuma session.

Pastor Dan serves as a commissioner to the Synod of the Southwest and holds leadership roles within the Grand Canyon Presbytery. In 2020, he led a six-month relief effort for the Navajo and Tohono O’odham Nations, coordinating more than 100 volunteers to distribute 1,200 food boxes each month.

Pastor Dan is the proud father of three adult children—Emmanuel, Dr. Victor W., and Grace—father-in-law to Haley, and grandfather to Zoey and Miles. It is our pleasure to welcome Pastor Dan Albertson to our pulpit on July 5 2026.

Simple Prayers You Can Use

 Give me, O Lord a steadfast heart, which no unworthy affection may drag downwards;

Give me an unconquered heart, which no tribulation can wear out:

Give me an upright heart, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. (St. Thomas Aquinas)  (posted 5/11/2026)

Prayer for the new year   In 2026  our job is to deal with the possible and let the lord care for the impossible.  (anonymous) (posted on 1/1/2026)
